Come one, come all, and take part in The Narnia Faire's Costume Contest! Whether donned in a costume detailed down to the embroidery or in a powerfully crafted outfit of molded plastics and metals, bring your talents before the excited eyes of our Kings, Queens, and patrons alike.
Craftsmanship
Character Look-Alike / Masquerade
Youth (12 and Under)

This category focuses on construction skill and costume creation. At least 65% of the costume must be made by the contestant entering.

This category focuses on accurately portraying an existing character. Contestants should have a reference photo of the character. Handmade costume elements will receive additional consideration in judging.

This category celebrates young creators. Children who make their costume themselves will receive additional points, and handmade costumes will receive additional consideration in judging.
Step 1 — Registration & Pre-Judging
All contestants must register before 1:00 PM at the Cosplay for Christ booth near the stage.

Step 2 — Presentation:
Narnia Faire is a family-friendly event with many young children in attendance.

If a costume is deemed inappropriate for a family audience, staff may request adjustments. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and/or being asked to leave the event.
Narnia Faire is a family-friendly event, so costumes must meet basic coverage standards.
Costumes must cover:
Fabric in these areas may not be sheer or transparent.
As a general guideline, costumes should provide coverage similar to a swimsuit or greater, as illustrated in the coverage guide diagram.
Event staff reserve the right to request costume adjustments if coverage does not meet these standards

Jess is a Jesus loving Nerd! She was introduced to cosplay through attending her first comic con and instantly fell in love with the creativity and the community. She started a Cosplay for Christ small group through her church where they had fun growing together in their faith and craft of cosplay. She has won several best in shows and judges choice awards throughout her cosplay career. Now she focuses her efforts on the Christian Cosplay community through her Cosplay for Christ Podcast and connecting with others at local cons. Jess wants to encourage and strengthen her fellow Christian cosplayers to know who they are in Christ and to be everything God is calling them to be, in and out of cosplay!
